Now Hiring Part-Time/Relief Snow Plow Operators

Pay Rate: $16.50 an hour

The Town of Winfield is looking for part-time/relief Snow Plow Driver Operators to work in its Street Department.

The ideal candidate will possess a CDL Class B or higher with air brakes endorsement, be able to work on an on-call basis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including weekends and holidays. Previous plowing and salting experience preferred, experience with 2 ton dump and 11’ plow a plus. Must be able to operate backhoe-loader to load trucks. Must be insurable, BMV printout is required. Must be able to take direction and work safely and independently in extreme weather and traffic conditions.

Now Accepting Applications for  a Full-time Police Officer

•The Winfield, Indiana Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of full-time police officer to be filled in 2020. Applications may be picked up at the Winfield Town Hall located at 10645 Randolph St., Suite A, Winfield, IN 46307, Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Starting salary range is $32,000 - $35,000 a year, depending on experience, and includes town employee benefits.
Applicants must:
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Posses a valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or GED equivalency
• Be a U.S. Citizen
• Have no felony convictions
• Vision correctable to 20/20.
• Have successfully completed the fifteen week Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (certified officer)
• Be able to perform each and every of the duties of Town Deputy Marshal as enumerated in Town Ordinance #233, which is included in the Application materials.

Now Accepting Applications for the Board of Zoning Appeals

Qualified applicants must live within the Town of Winfield limits.
Members need to attend BZA meetings once a month, assist in following up on BZA issues, and be willing to serve a four year term.

The BZA meets on the second Thursday of the month at 5:30 pm.

The term of office is two (2) years from the date of appointment.
This is a great volunteer opportunity for qualified residents who want to get involved with Town government. This is an unpaid position that meets monthly as needed.
