Town of Winfield Awarded $1.5 Million from INDOT for Road Repairs/Replacements

Earlier this year, the Town of Winfield submitted a matching grant request for approximately $2.5 million to do road and qualified sidewalk repairs or replacement within the Town. The request submitted was for repair or replacement of an estimated 16,000 linear feet of road identified by our engineers, Town staff, and resident calls. Although the full amount requested was not awarded, the Town was awarded $1.5 million, which is the MAXIMUM a community can receive. This money will be used to fund various road improvements this summer, primarily in older neighborhoods in the Town of Winfield (Trees, Meadows, Doubletree West, Hidden Creek, and Country Meadows).   Updates about road construction and closures will be posted on our Facebook page and through our Text Alert System.
