Town of Winfield Launches New Website

The Town of Winfield has been working with Civic Plus, a website developer that specializes in municipal software, to develop a new website that will be a more modern and user-friendly experience for staff and residents. The website address will remain as www.winfield.in.gov and the new website expected launch date is in early July.

Some of the highlights of the new website include:

• Increased transparency - all past and future meeting agendas and minutes will be available in a searchable format. Residents can review the material by Board, Commission, Council or keywords. The Town Code will also continue to be searchable by keyword and the link is included on the home page of the website.
• Easier Utility Bill Payments - The key link on the home page, goes directly to the Utility Billing portal and information and an application to set up auto debit is included on the Clerk Treasurer page
• Department Functions and forms - each Department has it's own landing page, describing the services they provide and duties they perform, along with any necessary forms or documents handled by that Department. If you are not sure what Department you need, you can also search ALL forms on the home page key link button titled "Forms, Permits & Applications" and search by keywords
• Business Directory - all businesses licensed in the Town of Winfield will be included in a new directory that includes the business name, address, phone number and link to their website (note, some home based businesses may not be included). There is also a map showing where each business is located.
• Modern and consistent layout and look - the colors of dark green, gray, black and white give it a more modern feel and the layout for each Department page has a consistent layout that includes staff lists, key functions and contact information.

We are excited for the staff and residents to use the new website and think it will be a valuable communication tool for the Town of Winfield.
