Report fee as of March 2, 2016:
Vehicle Accident Reports.............$25.00 per copy
Incident Reports are........$.10 per page per copy
Tow Release.......................$50.00
Only the involved parties may pick up their reports unless permission is given from the involved party directly to the Town Marshal to have another individual pick up the report for them.
VIN Checks are $5.00, and for Town of Winfield residents only please pay ahead of time at the Town Hall.
NEW LAKE COUNTY E-911 DISPATCH CENTER CONTACT INFORMATION
- AS OF OCTOBER 8, 2015.
The newly-consolidated Lake County E-911 Center will begin taking calls for emergency service from Winfield residents October 8, 2015. Residents are asked to make note of the following numbers.
- 911: Can be used for both emergency and non-emergency calls. ALL calls for service need to go through the dispatch center.
- (219-660-0001): This is the non-emergency number for the dispatch center if you are located outside of Lake County.
- (219-779-9326): Winfield Town Marshal.
This is an administrative line and should not be used for requesting a police response. You may call this line for questions or concerns that do NOT require an immediate response.
The Lake County Dispatch Center was consolidated in accordance with state law. Please contact the Town Marshal if you have any questions or concerns about the new dispatch center or about how to request emergencies services. We appreciate your patience as we move forward with this new consolidation with other local emergency service agencies.
